Greetings
from
Milarepa Center!
We
just wanted to give you a quick
update that Ven. Choden Rinpoche
will join us this Thursday
evening, August 19 at 7pm for a
Lama Chopa Tsog. This special
hour-and-a-half long ritual is a
wonderful Guru Yoga practice and
everyone is welcome to join.
Please bring snacks to share.
Kyabje Lama Zopa Rinpoche
will give Refuge Vows at the
beginning of the Milarepa
Initiation on Thursday evening,
September 2. If you are
interested in taking Refuge for
the first time, please plan to
attend a brief explanation on
Refuge with Ven. Amy at 4pm on
Thursday, September 2 at
Milarepa. It's also advisable
for those taking Refuge for the
first time to read Refuge in the
Three Jewels which you can find
at this link:
http://shop.fpmt.org/Refuge-in-the-Three-Jewels_p_194.html.
Milarepa Center
hosted a wondrous Open House
Festival Day this past Sunday
with nearly 150 people
attending. The food was amazing
and the musician, Penpa Tsering,
was enchanting.
Penpa played 16 different
traditional instruments and
explained the significance of
each one along with the lyrics
to his music. Ven. Choden
Rinpoche joined to give a
wonderful teaching on emptiness
that was a tremendous blessing
to the whole region. We were so
pleased to have Geshe Ngawang
Trinley join us from our sister
center, Kurukulla Center, along
with many neighbors and people
from the local community and
students from the Montpelier
library class and Kurukulla
Center in Boston. Please enjoy
our photos from the day.
With huge love from Everyone at
Milarepa Center!
Ven. Choden Rinpoche's
presence a blessing.
