Recollections by Wendy Hobbs
I asked the question “how can I repay the kindness of my teacher, Lama Zopa Rinpoche?” Several days later I received a phone call asking if I would become the director of Milarepa Center. Needless to say I was speechless but managed to say yes.
My son, Dahmay was kind enough to help out and so together we ran the center for four years trying to keep to Center financially afloat.
The winters were very quiet but spring and summer always brought many volunteers to help with the gardens and outdoor programs and kids camp.
Milarepa Center will always feel like home to me and my family and for that I am forever grateful.
